from/to Amsterdam By bike & boat 2020 - North Holland - De Holland
Explore areas steeped in tradition in the level "Polderland" on your bike and boat tour in Holland on the North Sea and romantic harbour towns on the IJsselmeer. You cycle through the former sea area and marshland which was drained for over 3 centuries slowly with the help of windmills. Fertile Polderland sceneries, quiet cycle paths, the miles long North Sea beach and the breath-taking sandy dunes alternate on your bike and boat holiday in North Holland. The North Sea Island Texel counts for many visitors to the climaxes of their cycling holiday in Holland. Charming sceneries, small dreamy farming villages and picturesque harbour towns in the Ijsselmeer are typical for the second part of the bike and boat trip in North Holland. Your bike and boat trip in Holland offers still much more places of interest: the open-air museum "Zaanse Schans", the old town of Alkmaar and the harbour towns of Medemblik, Enkhuizen, Hoorn and Volendam. Of course the canal town of Amsterdam is climaxes of the north route through the province Noord Holland.
