Your bike and boat tour “Best of Holland” starts in Amsterdam. Enjoy an evening cruise to Zaandam. On your daily cycling tour experience the water-rich landscape from Waterland, Kinderdijk with the famous 19 windmills as well as the cities of Amsterdam, Gouda and Schoonhoven.
You will cycle through the Green Heart of Holland and marvel at the artificially created Ijsselsea.

Day 1 - Individual arrival in Amsterdam, Amsterdam–ZaandamArrival in Amsterdam, for your bike and boat tour on board the MS Magnifique II. Embarkation between 1 and 2 pm in the centre of the city. Just before dinner, the MS Magnifique II departs to Zaandam. You receive your bikes for a brief test ride through the surrounding area.
Day 2 - Zaandam–Zaanse Schans–Waterland–Volendam, approx. 33–43 kmAfter breakfast starts your cycle holidays in Holland. Your bike tour in Zaandam leads to the open-air museum Zaanse Schans. You continue through small villages in the beautiful wetlands of Waterland to Volendam (one longer and 1 shorter bike tour to choose from). In the afternoon you reach the lively, picturesque fishing village of Volendam where the MS Magnifique II awaits you for dinner.
Day 3 - Volendam–Marken (ferry)–Muiden–Waterland –Muiden–Vianen, approx. 39–46 kmAfter breakfast you will take the ferry for a 30 min. crossing from Volendam to the former island of Marken. Visit this nice, authentic village and continue cycling along the coastline towards Ijlburg, a new and modern part of Amsterdam that was recently built on reclaimed land from the sea. From here you will cycle to the historical town of Muiden with this 14th century castle on the waterfront. Your cycling tour ends close to the village of Wweesp, where the MS Magnifique II is moored. Around 5 pm. the ship departs for Vianen and you can enjoy dinner while cruising. Evening and night on board in Vianen, a small fortified town on the lower Rhine River.
Day 4 - Vianen–Schoonhoven–Alblasserdam–Dordrecht, approx. 22–57 kmOn this morning you can decide whether to start your bike tour from Vianen or only from Schoonhoven. The MS Magnifique II will make a stop halfway in Schoonhoven, also called the Silver City. However, from Schoonhoven you cycle on the path over the Alblasserwaard polder to Alblasserdam. This is where you pass the famous 19 windmills of Kinderdijk, part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Netherlands. The windmills, arranged in a row, are a popular photo motif on holiday in Zuid-Holland. Here you board the Waterbus to Dordrecht, one of the oldest cities in the Netherlands, which lies at the confluence of three large rivers. The MS Magnifique II is already waiting for you in Dordrecht.
Day 5 - Dordrecht–Alblasserdam–Kinderdijk–Gouda, approx. 37-52 kmWhen you have finished breakfast you will return by Waterbus to Alblasserdam to start your cycling tour. Close to Bergambacht you may visit a cheese farm where you will learn about the traditional cheese-making process and you will have the opportunity to taste the results. Continue cycling to Gouda, the cheese and candle capital of Holland. Enjoy this beautiful historical city, the old market square and the Cheese Weighing House during the afternoon and evening. This evening dinner is not included, so you will enjoy a wonderful meal in one of many restaurants in Gouda. We have various restaurant recommendations available on board from the MS Magnifique II.
Day 6 - Gouda–Leiden–Oude Wetering, approx. 33–52 kmToday´s cycling tour starts in Gouda (long option) or in Alphen (short option) and shows you the typical scenery of the so-called Green Heart of Holland with green landscapes, wide view, small canals and tiny lakes – all below sea level! The cycling tour leads via Leiden, the birthplace of famous painter Rembrandt and residence of the oldest university of the Netherlands. Both cycling tours end in Oude Wetering where the MS Magnifique II is already waiting for you.
Day 7 - Oude Wetering–Ouderkerk aan de Amstel–Amsterdam, approx. 28–29 kmAfter breakfast you start your last cycle tour during your bike and boat tour “Best of Holland”. You start from Oude Wetering along the canal and through the “Amsterdam forest” into Amsterdam. During the afternoon you either have the opportunity to make a last beautiful cycling tour through the wetlands of Waterland or discover this amazing city. On a visit to the livley capital you will discover the flower markets and the museums. For the last time you will have dinner on the MS Magnifique II. In the evening, a romantic canal trip in the old city centre, a UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Netherlands.

Ship: MS MAGNIFIQUE II
The premium ship Magnifique II was newly built and completed in February 2016. The 63-metre-long ship offers space for 34 guests during your cycling and boat holidays in the Netherlands. The comfortable riverboat MS Magnifique II sails under Dutch flag and management.
In the lower deck of the MS Magnifique II there are a total of 13 cabins: 1 "Premium Twin" (approx. 13 m², two single beds next to each other and a small seating area) ,12 beautiful double cabins (approx. 11 m², single beds next to each other). The cabins in the lower deck of the MS Magnifique II are equipped with portholes (cannot be opened for safety reasons).
The upper deck of the MS Magnifique II has 4 spacious suites with large panorama windows (approx. 14 m², two single beds next to each other and a small seating area).
The upper deck suites have a two meter large window, of which the middle part can be opened, during your cycling and boat tour in the Netherlands.
All cabins on the bike and boat holidays in Holland have a bathroom (shower/WC), individually adjustable air conditioning, a flat screen satellite TV, mini safe and hairdryer. On request it is possible in some double cabins to accommodate a third bed (can be folded out over one of the other beds). On the upper deck you will feel at home during your bike & boat tour in the tastefully furnished saloon with restaurant, bar lounge area with TV, large windows and internet access/WLAN (WLAN, unlimited data volume). A partially covered teak sundeck with tables and chairs in the back area creates a breeze during your cycling holiday in the Netherlands. The front deck of the MS Magnifique II houses the bicycle shelter. The Jacuzzi and some deckchairs provide an absolute sense of well-being during you cycle tour in Holland.
