Itinerary

Day 1 - Individual arrival to Aigues-Mortes
Individual arrival for your cycling and boat vacation to Aigues-Morte. Embarkation takes place from 17:00. The meeting with the tour guide is scheduled for 18:30, before dinner.
Day 2 - Round trip of Aigues-Mortes, approx. 45 km
On the way through the Camargue, past canals, lagoons and small villages, you will come to La Cailar, Marsillargues and Saint-Laurent-d'Aigouze during your bike and boat trip. In the afternoon, visit an organic vineyard and enjoy a wine tasting. You can immerse yourself in the beautiful landscape of the Camargue with its ponds, lagoons, reed beds and dunes.
Day 3 - From Aigues-Mortes to Arles, bike tour approx. 30 km
In the morning, the L'Estello takes you to Franquevaux. From there you start the 2nd day of cycling to Arles, a town rich in Roman ruins and many other treasures. You will feel as if you are standing in a Van Gogh painting. In the afternoon, you will have the opportunity to explore the old town.
Day 4 - From Arles to Vallabrègues, bike tour approx. 65 km
This cycle stage takes you to Alpilles, with the village of Les-Baux-de-Provence, and on to Saint Rémy de Provence. The small town is famous because Van Gogh once lived here. The incomparable landscape of limestone cliffs and olive trees accompanies you on your cycle tour through the south of France. The L'Estello will drop anchor in Vallabrègues in the evening. An evening stroll through the Provençal village on the banks of the Rhône is a relaxing way to end the day.
Day 5 - From Vallabrègues to Aramon, bike tour approx. 45 km
Today you cycle along the country roads to Barbentane, with its enchanting castle between the Rhône and Durance rivers. You then cycle on to the magnificent abbey of Saint Michel de Frigolet and on to the medieval castle of Boulbon. In the afternoon, the L'Estello boat will take you to Aramon, where you will spend the night. Enjoy the beautiful view of Mont Ventoux.
Day 6 - From Aramon to Avignon, bike tour approx. 45 km
Today's cycle stage takes you to the best-preserved Roman aqueduct in Europe and architectural masterpiece: the Pont du Gard. You then cycle back to Aramon. In the afternoon, the boat will take you to Avignon. The L'Estello docks at the Quai de la Ligne, right next to the famous Pont-St-Bénézet bridge.
Day 7 - Avignon round trip, approx. 45 km
On your last day of cycling, you will cross the Île de la Barthelasse and reach the other bank of the Rhône. Your route takes you through the typical garrigue landscape past vineyards and orchards to Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Take the opportunity to taste the world-famous Provençal wine. You then cross the Rhône at Roquemaure and cycle along the river via Villeneuve back to Avignon.
Day 8 - Individual departure from Avignon
Disembarkation takes place after breakfast.

Hotel Description

L'Estello
The classic Dutch barge, which was renovated in 2018, takes you past Provencal landscapes and protected wilderness. You can enjoy breakfast and dinner in the bright restaurant with panoramic windows. In addition to a sun deck, there is also a lounge area with free wifi.

The cabins of the L'Estello:
The cabins are equipped with comfortable low beds (single bed 1.90m x 0.8m, double bed 1.90m x 1.40m), bathroom, closed portholes, individually adjustable air conditioning, locker and plenty of storage space for luggage.
The 10 cabins are divided as follows:
9x twin cabins on the lower deck with 7-8 m2
1x double cabins on the lower deck with 7-8 m2

Details and cancellation

We reserve the right to make changes to the timetable and programme. If, for example, a route cannot be travelled due to low water, high water or bad weather, the captain reserves the right to change the route for your safety (this is not a reason for cancellation free of charge). The same applies to officially ordered lock and/or bridge repairs that have not been announced in advance.

Return journey to Aigues-Mortes:
The return journey is possible by train (approx. 1 hour journey time) or by cab. (Status 2025 – subject to change)

Parking facilities
In Aigues-Mortes, you can park your car free of charge and unguarded on l'Avenue du Pont de Provence, where the boat is moored. There are other public, unguarded parking spaces around the city walls. (Status 2025 - subject to change)

Note for people with limited mobility
The cycle tour is not suitable for people with limited mobility. However, in specific cases it is possible to accommodate individual customer requests (e.g. barrier-free room).

Passport and visa requirements
To check in to your hotel you will need a valid passport or ID card.
For citizens of countries outside the Schengen area other regulations may apply. You are responsible for obtaining any visa you may require in good time.

Terms and Conditions of Payment:
The deposit of 10% of the tour price is due at the latest 14 days after receipt of the booking confirmation. The balance must be paid 14 days before arrival.

Cancellation Policy:
According to our General Terms and Conditions, the customer may withdraw from the contract at any time in writing. In the event of cancellation or non-commencement of travel, the following cancellation fees will become payable:
20% of the tour price up to 84 days before arrival date
40% of the tour price from 83rd to 42nd day before arrival date
60% of the tour price from 41st to 28th day before arrival date
90% of the tour price from 27th to 1st day before arrival date
100% of the tour price on the day of arrival or no-show
