Day 1 - Individual journey to Avignon
Individual arrival for your cycling and boat holiday in Avignon. Embarkation takes place from 17:00. The meeting with the tour guide is scheduled for 18:30, before dinner.Day 2 - Avignon round trip, bike tour approx. 45 km
On your first day of cycling, you will cross Île de la Barthelasse and reach the other bank of the Rhone. Your route takes you through the typical garrigue landscape past vineyards and orchards to Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Take the opportunity to taste the world-famous Provencal wine on the spot.Day 3 - From Avignon to Aramon, bike tour approx. 45 km
The day starts with a boat trip to Aramon, where today's cycling stage begins. Today you cycle to the Pont du Gard, the best-preserved Roman aqueduct in Europe. In the evening, you will dock in Aramon again. Enjoy the beautiful view of Mont Ventoux.Day 4 - From Aramon to Vallabrègues, bike tour approx. 45 km
After a short boat trip in the morning, you start your cycle tour in Vallabrègues, a beautiful village on the banks of the Rhône. You cycle on country roads to Barbentane with its castle between the Rhône and Durance rivers. Your cycle tour continues to the magnificent Saint Michel de Frigolet Abbey and then to the medieval castle of Boulbon.Day 5 - From Vallabrègues to Arles, bike tour approx. 65 km
This cycle stage takes you to the birthplace of Nostradamus, to Saint Rémy de Provence. This village is also famous because Van Gogh lived here. Then you cycle to Alpilles with the village of Les-Baux-de-Provence. A landscape of limestone cliffs and olive trees accompanies your journey.Day 6 - From Arles to Aigues-Mortes, bike tour approx. 30 km
In the morning, you will visit Arles, the former capital of Gaul with its beautiful Roman ruins. You then cycle to Franquevaux, where your boat L'Estello is already waiting for you. After a short boat trip, you will arrive in Aigues-Mortes.Day 7 - Aigues-Mortes round trip, approx. 45 km
The last day of cycling takes you past canals, lagoons and small villages through the Camargue to La Calair, Marsillargues and Saint-Laurent- d'Aigouze`. In the afternoon, you will visit an organic vineyard and enjoy a wine tasting. You can immerse yourself in the beautiful landscape of the Camargue with its ponds, lagoons, reed beds and dunesDay 8 - Individual departure from Aigues-Mortes
Disembarkation takes place after breakfast.
L'Estello
The classic Dutch barge, which was renovated in 2018, takes you past Provencal landscapes and protected wilderness. You can enjoy breakfast and dinner in the bright restaurant with panoramic windows. In addition to a sun deck, there is also a lounge area with free wifi.
The cabins of the L'Estello:
The cabins are equipped with comfortable low beds (single bed 1.90m x 0.8m, double bed 1.90m x 1.40m), bathroom, closed portholes, individually adjustable air conditioning, locker and plenty of storage space for luggage.
The 10 cabins are divided as follows:
9x twin cabins on the lower deck with 7-8 m2
1x double cabins on the lower deck with 7-8 m2

We reserve the right to make changes to the timetable and programme. If, for example, a route cannot be travelled due to low water, high water or bad weather, the captain reserves the right to change the route for your safety (this is not a reason for cancellation free of charge). The same applies to officially ordered lock and/or bridge repairs that have not been announced in advance.
Return journey to Avignon:
On your own by train from Aigues-Mortes to Avignon. (1x change, duration approx. 1,5-2 hours, price approx. € 17,00 per person) - Status 2025 - subject to change
Parking facilities
Car park at the Palais du Pape, guarded, approx. € 20,00 per day and car, approx. 500m from the jetty.
Parking de l'Oritoire, guarded, approx. € 22,00 per day and car, approx. 1,1km from the jetty.
Further free parking is available outside the old town ring road around the Boulevard Saint-Roch. (Status 2025 - subject to change)
Note for people with limited mobility
The cycle tour is not suitable for people with limited mobility. However, in specific cases it is possible to accommodate individual customer requests (e.g. barrier-free room).
Passport and visa requirements
To check in to your hotel you will need a valid passport or ID card.
For citizens of countries outside the Schengen area other regulations may apply. You are responsible for obtaining any visa you may require in good time.
Terms and Conditions of Payment:
The deposit of 10% of the tour price is due at the latest 14 days after receipt of the booking confirmation. The balance must be paid 14 days before arrival.
Additional travel conditions for the bike and boat tour:
In the event of extremely high or low water, the shipping company reserves the right to bridge parts of the route by bus or to cancel the trip at short notice without this giving rise to any legal claims (water level is force majeure). The same applies in the event of officially ordered lock and/or bridge repairs that have not been announced in advance or in the event of engine or drive damage to the ship through no fault of its own.
Cancellation Policy:
According to our General Terms and Conditions, the customer may withdraw from the contract at any time in writing. In the event of cancellation or non-commencement of travel, the following cancellation fees will become payable:
20% of the tour price up to 84 days before arrival date
40% of the tour price from 83rd to 42nd day before arrival date
60% of the tour price from 41st to 28th day before arrival date
90% of the tour price from 27th to 1st day before arrival date
100% of the tour price on the day of arrival or no-show
