We recommend an early arrival to get to know the historic old town with its medieval flair.Rothenburg/Tauber - Herrieden, approx. 54 km
Today you cycle past the impressive Palace Colmberg to the old-mill-town Leutershausen and continue to Herrieden.Herrieden - Treuchtlingen, approx. 53 km
After breakfast you cycle via the Lake Altmühl to the Karlsgraben, (an attempt of Charles the Great to build a sewer construction), with a side trip to the Roman city Weißenburg before you arrive in Treuchtlingen.Treuchtlingen - Eichstätt, approx. 42 km
Today the scenery from the wide and flat stream changes to a landscape with high Dolomite Rocks and the rugged Jura rocks.Eichstätt - Beilngrieß, approx. 45 km
A beautiful landscape of the now broader River Altmühl continues, leading you through heather of juniper- an area under nature conservancy.Beilngrieß - Kehlheim, approx. 45 km
