Itinerary
  • Individual arrival in Stralsund

Stralsund is with its Hanseatic old town UNESCO world heritage and its countless sights make this city well worth a visit.
  • Stralsund-Hiddensee-North Rügen, approx. 40 km

In the morning you go by ship to Hiddensee and explore the car-free island. From the Dornbusch light house you can overlook the North of the island Rügen up to the southeast to Granitz and in the west to Stralsund. A day's excursion by bike or a hiking tour is possible. In the afternoon you continue with the ferry to Rügen.
  • North Rügen-Inselmitte (middle of island)/Bergen, approx. 55 km

Across the wide beach of the Schaabe you reach Jasmund. From here it is your choice which cycle route you take. Either you cycle via the chalk rocks to the Königsstuhl on to Sassnitz or along the longer version via the lidos or through the middle of the island to Bergen or along a shorter path to Glow passed Sagrad to Bergen.
  • Inselmitte (middle of island)/Bergen-Greifswald, approx. 55 km

Today you cycle through the south of the island to the Glewitzer ferry (shuttle traffic, payable on the spot, approx., € 2,40). You can visit the old and former residence Putbus with its circus, orangery and theatre before you continue via Garz to the Glewitzer ferry. After you have crossed over you cycle along the shadowy avenue (low traffic country road) or along a small path along the waterside to Greifswald.
  • Greifswald-Kaiserbäder (Emperor's baths), approx. 60 km

After breakfast by train from Greifswald to Anklam, the birth place of Otto Lilienthals. A beautiful cycle tour awaits you along the Peenestrom delta to the island Usedom. Via the Peenestrom you cycle to the Karniner railway lift bridge, a technical monument you continue to the small town Usedom and via silent paths to the lidos Ahlbeck, Heringsdorf and Bansin.
  • Kaiserbäder (Emperor's paths)-North Usedom, approx. 35 km

The imperial lidos at the German Baltic Sea coast await you with architecture of pomp which is not to top. Along the forest steep coast near sandy beaches you cycle from lido to lido until you reach the North of the island.
